2.        Developed countries provide financial assistance to developing countries

3.        Conservation of absorption sources such as forests

4.        Adaptation to the effects of global warming

Honestly, there are huge impacts by withdrawal of the US from Paris agreement in 2060, and there is a rumor about the possibility that most of the top-tier companies in the US like Amazon and Apple will stop aiming carbon neutral caused in their businesses. And some of the companies all over the world might get influenced and withdraw to aim the carbon neutral.

The reason why the US decided to withdraw from Paris agreement in 2026:

The reason why President Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Agreement is intricately intertwined with six factors: negative impact on the U.S. economy, unfair burden, global warming skepticism, economic priority, energy policy, and appeal to the support base. President Trump believed that the Paris Agreement's emission reduction targets would rob American jobs and hinder economic growth. He also argued that the Paris Agreement was in favor of China and India, and that only the United States would be forced to bear an unfair burden. In addition, he rejected an international framework such as the Paris Agreement because of the idea that global warming is not man-made. In addition, President Trump advocated "America first" and prioritized the revitalization of the domestic economy, so the goals of the Paris Agreement were incompatible with his own policies. Energy policies that promote the development of fossil fuels such as shale gas and oil also conflicted with the goals of the Paris Agreement. And the appeal to their support base, such as those who are skeptical of global warming measures and workers working in the fossil fuel industry, also became a major factor in the withdrawal from the Paris Agreement.

However, personally speaking, I don’t think that none of the companies will halt the aiming just because companies such as Apple and Amazon, apart from the Paris Agreement, have set their own goals and are actively promoting measures against global warming. These companies have set specific goals, such as making the energy used in their business activities 100% renewable energy and reducing carbon dioxide emissions from their business activities to virtually zero by 2040. The voluntary efforts of companies are very important to prevent global warming, and these companies are likely to maintain their carbon-neutral goals regardless of their withdrawal from the Paris Agreement.

アメリカが2026年にパリ協定を脱退する理由

トランプ大統領が米国をパリ協定から撤退させた理由は、米国経済への悪影響、不当な負担、地球温暖化懐疑論、経済の優先事項、エネルギー政策、支援基盤へのアピールという6つの要因と複雑に絡み合っている。トランプ大統領は、パリ協定の排出削減目標がアメリカの雇用を奪い、経済成長を妨げると思っている。パリ協定は中国とインドに有利になるように存在し、米国だけが不当な負担を負わざるを得ないと主張した。さらに、彼は地球温暖化は人為的ではないという考えから、パリ協定のような国際的な枠組みを拒否した。それに、トランプ大統領はアメリカを第一に考えており、国内経済の活性化を優先しているため、パリ協定の目標は彼自身の政策と相容れなかった。シェールガスや石油などの化石燃料の開発を促進するエネルギー政策も、パリ協定の目標と矛盾しています。そして、地球温暖化対策に懐疑的な人々や化石燃料産業で働く労働者など、彼らの支援基盤へのアピールも、パリ協定からの脱退の主要な要因となった。

でも僕は、どの企業も目標を停止するとは思わない。なぜなら、パリ協定とは別にアップルやアマゾンなどの企業が独自の目標を設定し、地球温暖化対策を積極的に推進しているからだ。これらの企業は、事業活動で使用されるエネルギーを100%再生可能エネルギーにしたり、2040年までに事業活動による二酸化炭素排出量をほぼゼロにするなど、具体的な目標を設定している。企業の自発的な努力は地球温暖化を防ぐために非常に重要であり、これらの企業はアメリカのパリ協定脱退にかかわらず、カーボンニュートラルな目標を維持する可能性が高いと、僕は思う。
